The sunny Hempstead Cut leading from Middle Village to Maspeth. The tall highway bridge carries the Long Island Expressway. We are passing through a densely populated area, yet the route is completely hidden from view.
We continue to head north.
A look back south at the bridge over the Long Island Rail Road main line.
Civilization finally comes into view as we cross Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst. We are looking west towards Manhattan.
